Great first impression but dissapointing overall |
I've tried the Soundstation EX, the Premier with satellite and now the VTX 1000 with external mics. Non of these are as good as advertised. I've tried them in simple enviroments to very challenging. I have 4 of them in differenct rooms. Works fine if 4 people huddle around the unit, add the mics and coverage is a little better. Don't expect it to perform as advertised. VTX works the best and is probably the best analog (standard phone line) available. I give it 3 stars because it is the best of all the soundstation products I have. Shop around, you can find these for $500 each with $50 for mics. You will need the mics!

pretty good for meeting enviroments less than 6

woofer is a nice touch
Lows:
still need just one person at a time holding the mic when in large groups
not worth $1,000
lots of cords
can't raise the mic volume - listeners can't hear unless mic is close
cell phone users (at the other end) just as well hang up
recomendation: if mic volume could be raised then it would be decent |
